The unification title fight between “Fighter of the Year” and reigning WBO/ Ring Magazine super bantamweight champion Nonito “The Filipino Flash” Donaire and WBA champion Guillermo Rigondeaux, scheduled for April 13th in New York City, is in jeopardy.

Donaire told BoxingScene.com/Manila Standard that they found out that the signature on the contract supposedly signed by the two-time Cuban Olympic gold medalist “was not even his” further complicating a testy situation.

Donaire said the VADA people who will conduct the random drug tests on both fighters “can’t get a hold of Rigo because there’s no location where he’s at.”

Rigondeaux in his contract had no telephone number and no location which makes it impossible for the Volunteer Anti Doping Association to conduct the random drug tests agreed upon earlier.

Rigondeaux’s team reportedly told VADA “they won’t know until Monday (Tuesday in Manila)" where he'll be.

Donaire also claimed - “I find out he’s working with Angel Heredia" - who has a controversial past linked to performance enhancing drugs. Donaire added "makes you think. This is fishy.”

The four division world champion insisted - “I won't stand for anybody who mocks boxing or mocks testing” - making it clear he had given Rigondeaux’s camp an - “ultimatum at 12 p.m. today. If they don’t sign it and give us his whereabouts we are pulling out. I don’t need them this is my date.”

At the same time Donaire told us he had given Rigondeaux - “so many opportunities to make this fight happen” and he plans to “go to Top Rank and HBO and to tell them, give us another fighter. I don’t care who it is. They are playing too many games. They don’t want to fight.”

Donaire assured Filipino fight fans that the antics of Rigondeaux “hasn’t affected my training” and he’ll be ready whoever steps into the ring at New York’s Radio City Music Hall.
