WBC lightweight champion Adrien Broner (26-0, 22KOs) is one week removed from his five round TKO victory over Gavin Rees. Broner wants to fight WBO champion Ricky Burns (35-2, 10KOs) next. Burns has a tough fight coming up with  IBF beltholder Miguel Vazquez (33-3, 13KOs) on March 16th in London. Burns has to come through in his fight to make the match with Broner happen.

After Burns, Broner said that he wants to move up to the junior welterweight division and he wants the green belt, which is the WBC title, currently owned by Danny Garcia (25-0, 16KOs). Both Garcia and Broner are advised by Al Haymon. Garcia defends his WBC title [and his WBA] against Zab Judah on April 27th at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

"Honestly, I want to fight Ricky Burns and then I'd like move up to light welterweight. Ricky Burns has a nice fight coming up with Vazquez. Hopefully he wins that fight and then we can make a big fight. [At 140] I'm coming straight for the titlists. I'm after the green. I'm after the green belt," Broner said to ESPN.
