Junior welterweight contender Breidis Prescott (26-4, 20KOs) is training hard in Colombia and ready to fight. A few days ago he challenged WBC interim-champion Lucas Matthysse. Some of the recent headlines have caught his attention. He was surprised to read a few articles where Khan (27-3, 19KOs) was attempting to make a fight with Vyacheslav Senchenko on April 20th.

Khan and Senchenko were unable to agree on a catch-weight. It was being reported that Khan wanted to avenge Ricky Hatton, who was knocked out by Senchenko in nine rounds late last year. Prescott wants Khan to step up and attempt to avenge the first defeat of his own career, a 54-second KO loss to Prescott in 2008

"He's a coward. I would rather not waste my time and call him out. I've already said I'm willing to go to the UK and put him to sleep again. But he's more interested in avenging Hatton's loss than his own personal defeats. That is what you call a con job and that's why he'll never be respected. Real champions avenge their losses, not the losses of others," Prescott said.
