BoxingScene.com has been advised that WBA interim-featherweight champion Javier Fortuna (21-0, 15KOs) will return in the coming months, possibly on HBO.

Promoter Sampson Lewkowicz was trying to get Fortuna on the Sergio Martinez-Martin Murray card on April 27 in Argentina, but his plan to place Fortuna on that particular event fell through.

He then tried to match Fortuna with Puerto Rico's Orlando Cruz. Inquiries were made and no interest was expressed on the part of Cruz's team.

The current plan is to have Fortuna return on an HBO televised date which is being secured by promoter Lou DiBella. The date should be finalized shortly.

Fortuna was last seen on the Manny Pacquiao-Juan Manuel Marquez undercard on December 8th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. He won a twelve round decision over previously unbeaten Patrick Hyland.
