World Boxing Council President Jose Sulaiman has been unanimously re-elected for another four year term.

WBC President since 1975, Jose Sulaiman thanked the Board of Governors for the support and stated: "Boxing is my life!"

He said his Mother had once advised him that unity makes power, and that he's tried to be an ambassador for boxing. Through working with Commissions, Boxing has been transformed into a better and safer sport.

Commenting about his unanimous re-electon Don Jose said: "It is an acclaimation. This makes me relax, makes me see that I'm accepted by everybody, and give me more respect to the position that I have."

In the coming year the WBC is moving ahead with the first professional Boxing World Cup, further developing a pension fund for nominated former boxers, who've fallen on hard times, and scrutinizing ever more safety aspect for boxers.

Don Jose also stressed: "I'm positive that the green belt is the dream of young boxers."
