Dominican junior welterweight Joan Guzman continues to train hard for his November 30th bout against the Russian fighter Khabib Allakhverdiev at the BB&T Center in Sunrise, Florida. Yesterday in Miami, Guzman held a very hard training session along with his trainers German Caicedo and Micky Ward. Guzman-Allakhverdiev is going to have the vacant WBA junior welterweight title at stake. The fight will headline “BEATDOWN 2012” - presented by Acquinity Sports.

"I know that in the past I lost focus due to personal problems, but now I’m in a great shape and ready to fight for more than twelve rounds. I’m an elite fighter and all of my past problems are behind me. In this fight I've will take my third world title and then we hope nobody at 140 pounds will be scared me. It is Guzman's time," Guzman said.
