A source close to the situation has advised BoxingScene.com that Delvin Rodriguez (26-6-3, 14KOs) has decided to take a pass on facing junior middleweight contender Alfredo "Perro" Angulo (21-2, 18KOs) on December 15th at the Sports Arena in Los Angeles, California. The Showtime televised card is headlined by Amir Khan vs. Carlos  Molina.

Rodriguez and his management were very interested in the fight, but the date of the contest became the main sticking point. Rodriguez needed more time to prepare and Angulo's return date is pretty concrete.

BoxingScene was informed that Freddy Hernandez (30-3, 20KOs) is now being mentioned as a possible opponent. Hernandez lost a ten round decision to Erislandy Lara in June.
