BoxingScene.com recently spoke to Joel Diaz, trainer of WBO junior welterweight champion Tim Bradley at his public workout in Indio, CA.  Bradley faces WBO welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao on June 9th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, NV.

Diaz said that Bradley was already on weight and ready for the fight which will be by far the biggest of the 28-year old's career.

"Tim is already on weight. He comes in the gym at 150 so I'm sure when he leaves he's at '47 or '48. He could fight this weekend if need be," Diaz told BoxingDcene.

Speed is one of the elements Diaz said that they are focusing on. Bradley last fought as a welterweight when he moved up to face Carlos Abregu on July 17th, 2010.  Diaz said that Bradley will be faster than he was for that fight and that will prove to be a key factor.

"I think he will be better than he was for the Abregu fight because we have really worked on maintaining the speed that he had at 140. He was fast in the Abregu fight but I think he will be way faster for this fight. Keeping his speed is an area we have really focused on," Diaz explained.
