Trainer Freddie Roach has placed a bounty of $1,000 on the head of junior welterweight Amir Khan. The British boxer is being trained by Roach for a clash with unbeaten WBC champion Danny Garcia on July 14th at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas. If any of Khan's sparring partners at the Wild Card gym in California are able to knock him down, Roach will reward them with a $1,000 bonus. In the past, Roach has offered the same bonus to the sparring partners of Manny Pacquiao.

“Freddie says if anyone can knock down me or Manny they will get a thousand dollars - but it’s not happened yet! My sparring sessions are always full-on, you never take it easy on sparring partners. Sometimes my fight might be easier than my sparring sessions. We spar ten rounds in total, with three sparring partners who come in fresh after three or four rounds. Me and Manny used to spar a lot together, but not now because we are at the same weight and there is always talk that we might fight each other one day," Khan told The Sun paper.
