Undefeated WBC 154-pound world champion Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (39-0-1, 29KOs) is a few days away from the biggest defense of his career. On Saturday night at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, he faces former three division world champion "Sugar" Shane Mosley. Alvarez has continued training at a private gym in Las Vegas to remain in excellent physical shape.

"This is the longest preparation that we have done. Mosley will not know where to go when he feels the punches of Canelo," said trainer Chepo Reynoso.

The champion and his team of Chepo and Edison Reynoso, and former champion Oscar Larios, are very optimistic and believe the strength and speed of the 21-year-old boxer will be a lethal combination for Mosley, who has never been knocked out.

In two months of intense preparation, the boxer had 129 rounds of sparring, with four minute rounds, against 6 different sparring partners, including former champion Steve Forbes. At one point, Canelo put in 41 days of work without rest.
