Saul "Canelo" Alvarez officially started the second stage of his training camp, as he prepares for his third defense of World Boxing Council (WBC) junior middleweight title. Alvarez, 21, will risk the belt he won in March against Puerto Rico's Kermit Cintron, a former champion and a very experienced fighter who removed the undefeated record of Alfredo Angulo.

"Canelo" boxed for four rounds with Gilberto Ramirez, and next week Japan's Nobuhiro Ishida will arrive in camp to take his position as a sparring partner. The contest between Alvarez and Cintron will held on November 26th on Mexican soil in a card being co-promoted by Canelo Promotions and Golden Boy Promotions, and televised by Televisa.

As previously reported on BoxingScene.com, Alvarez will not hold his camp in the mountains of Big Bear, California as he did for his two prior defenses, against Ryan Rhodes and Alfonso Gomez. The bulk of his physical preparation will take place in Guadalajara and Mexico City.

On Wednesday, Alvarez will travel to Mexico City to take part in a press conference to officially announce his fight with Cintron.
