In a recent interview with The Philippine Star, trainer Freddie Roach discussed Floyd Mayweather Jr.'s recent knockout victory over Victor Ortiz. After watching Mayweather's twelve round domination of Shane Molsey in May 2010, the hall-of-fame trainer believed the former five division champion was showing signs of slowing down and he was becoming more hittable. After watching the fight with Ortiz, Roach still maintains the same belief.

Roach also advised his boxer, Manny Pacquiao, to never let his guard down with Mayweather, after watching Floyd crack an off-guard Ortiz with two punches to score a knockout victory.

“He doesn’t move around the ring like he used to, you can see that,” pointed out Roach. “There are definitely signs in the last three fights, that he’s not as mobile as he used to be. He’s more hittable but what the Ortiz fight showed me was, because Manny’s a nice guy also, that you can’t be nice to this son of a b*tch because he will take advantage and land a cheap shot if you let him.”
