MEXICALI, BC - Jorge "Travieso" Arce is more than ready to defend to get in the ring at the PromoCasa Forum in Mexicali on Saturday, September 24, when he defends his world Super Bantamweight (WBO) championship against South African Simphiwe Nongqayi in a long awaited rematch. Zanfer will stage the event with TV Azteca televising.

"There are three reasons that I want to defend my title. First, I know that beating Nongqayi will bring me an even bigger fight. Second, I want to avenge my brother 'Panchito', who lost to the South African. And third, I also want my own revenge because he beat me on a bad night," Arce said.

Arce (57-6-2, 44KOs)  remembered that Nongqayi (16-1-1, 6KOs) defeated his brother Francisco in February 2009 in a IBF super flyweight eliminator, and then Arce lost to him in September of the same year. Arce trained for eight weeks at the gym of "The Cochules" in Los Mochis. Arce vowed to make his opponent "pay the piper" by "knocking him out."

"I will give a great show in Mexicali for the knowledgeable audience of people who follow me on TV Azteca, I'll give everything in the ring. I feel strong and eager to be in the ring.

On the undercard,  Victor "Viking" Terrazas debuts for Zanfer. Terrazas (30-2-1, 17 KOs) will have a tough 10-round contest at featherweight against Panamanian boxer Leopoldo Arrocha (10-16-2, 6 KOs).
