WBA heavyweight champion David Haye is fully focused on retiring from boxing by the end of October. Haye's position is inspired by former super middleweight king, Joe Calzaghe, who closed the final chapeter on his 16-year career in 2008, with 46 wins and no defeats. Calzaghe spent some time with Haye on Tuesday at the Hayemaker Gym in London. Haye faces IBO/IBF/WBO champion Wladimir Klitschko on July 2 in Hamburg, Germany.

“Joe went about things the way all boxers aspire to," said Haye to Gareth Davies of The Telegragh. "He defeated every opponent put in his way and then retired with his zero intact. Joe is one of the few guys to have the talent and intelligence to achieve his goals and get out when the going was good. That has been an inspiration for my own plan in boxing. To beat the best and then go out and leave at the top."
