BoxingScene ran an earlier story by Lem Saterfield in which Top Rank CEO Bob Arum said that he would like to match unbeaten welterweight Mike Jones against former world champion Kermit Cintron provide both men win their upcoming fights.

Jones is scheduled to face Raul Munoz on June 25th and Kermit Cintron is set to face Carlos Molina on July 9th.

BoxingScene reached out to Cintron to get his opinion on possibly facing Jones. The Puerto Rican fighter is deep into training camp for his upcoming battle versus Molina and refuses to look past the crafty fighter who  recently fought hot Cuban prospect Erislandy Lara to a draw.

Cintron told BoxingScene, "I have no comment or thoughts on the Jones fight.  I just want to keep my focus on Carlos Molina."

Cintron knows that in order to land a big fight he must first get past Molina. The Ronnie Shields trained fighter will have been out of the ring over a year when he faces Molina on July 9th and is working hard to ensure that he puts on an impressive performance.

"Training is going great for me.  I'm just training hard because I know Carlos is coming to fight.  I have to be 110% ready for Carlos.   I'm looking forward to the fight and looking to come out victorious," said Cintron.
