There could some additional trouble in store for WBA heavyweight champion David Haye. BoxingScene.com has obtained a letter from the British Boxing Board of Control, dated June 4, 2009, which clearly states that mandatory challenger Ruslan Chagaev would not be approved to box in Great Britain. Haye's team has raised their concerns regarded the British Board approving Chagaev due to his struggles with Hepatitis B.

The letter, written by British Board General Secretary Robert W. Smith, states - "With regard to the above [Ruslan Chagaev], I have spoken to Dr. Roger Evans and a number of his medical colleagues and I can confirm that Mr. Chagaev will not be permitted to box in Great Britain."

In the last few days, Haye's fight with IBO/WBO/IBF champion Wladimir Klitschko crumbled. Klistchko is now going to face Dereck Chisora on April 30 and Tomasz Adamek in September.
