BoxingScene.com was advised by Bernd Boente, the manager of WBO/IBO/IBF heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko, that his boxer is fully capable of moving forward with a David Haye unification, or another opponent of his choosing. Klitschko was scheduled to face Warren's unbeaten heavyweight Dereck Chisora on Saturday night in Germany. He withdrew from the contest on Wednesday after suffering an abdominal injury.

According to Warren, Klitschko is contractually bound to provide his boxer with a new date within 30-days, and the fight, also per the contract, has to be rescheduled within 180-days.

"I've read a lot of stuff over what's been said regarding Dereck's fight with Klitschko, but the fact is that the contract states they've got 30-days to give us a new date, and that [fight] should take place within 180-days of the postponement," Warren said on Sky Sports News. "That's what we're waiting for the Klitschkos to inform us. That fight will take place next year."

According to Boente, Warren is not accurate. There is a clause in the bout agreement that allows Klitschko to move forward with a new opponent within 30-days of the fight being postponed. Klitschko has the option to completely cancel the fight with Chisora in 30-days.

"Frank Warren's quotes on BoxingScene that we have to fight Chisora again - are wrong. It is at the sole option of K2 Promotions [Klitschko's promotional company] to either reschedule or cancel the fight against Chisora. That decision has to be made in the next 30-days and depends, for example, on available TV dates and arenas," Boente told BoxingScene.com.
