According to promoter Frank Warren, speaking with Sky Sports News, WBO/IBO/IBF heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko is unable to fight David Haye next. Pursuant to the bout agreement, Klitschko must reschedule his fight with undefeated Dereck Chisora. Klitschko was scheduled to fight Chisora on Saturday at the SAP Arena in Germany. He withdrew on Wednesday with an abdominal injury. Warren states that Klitschko has to reschedule the fight within 180-days.

As BoxingScene.com previously reported, Klitschko's adviser Shelly Finkel already spoke with Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaefer, co-promoter of Haye, regarding a fight between their respective heavyweights. Klitschko's team must believe they have a clause within the contract that allows them to move forward with an alternate bout. Klitschko will be ready to train in six weeks max.

"I've read a lot of stuff over what's been said regarding Dereck's fight with Klitschko, but the fact is that the contract states they've got 30 days to give us a new date, and that [fight] should take place within 180 days of the postponement," Warren said on Sky Sports News. "That's what we're waiting for the Klitschkos to inform us. That fight will take place next year."
