The final press conference before the anticipated heavyweight battle, between Jean Marc Mormeck and Timur Ibragimov, took place at the premises of Adidas Louvre in Paris, France. The fight takes place on December 2 at Halle Carpentier in Paris XIII, Paris, France.

Américan Promoter Joe DeGuardia: In recent years, America has lost its representatives in the heavyweight class. All of the current champions are from Europe.  American television has moved away from the heavyweights and is more interested in fights involving Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather. I sincerely believe that Jean Marc Mormeck has a style that pleases the spectators could give importance to this division, but in order to do this he must first pass the hurdle in front of him, Ibragimov. It will be a very difficult fight for both, and they will give everything of themselves because they know the winner will fight for a world championship.”

Jean Marc Mormeck: “Unlike my last two fights, this time I received the best possible preparation for this opportunity. I had to hire a physical trainer in order to fight and intense style for twelve rounds. Just as I had planned from the beginning, this fight could get me in the high world rankings to compete for a world championship."

Timur Ibragimov: “I thank Jean Marc Mormeck for giving me the chance to box on this great evening of boxing and for the warm welcome. I was in full swing in Sweden when I received the offer. I did not hesitate one second to respond favorably. I'm in the best shape of my life. I came to get a victory over Mormeck, and that would put me in line for a world championship fight. I already knew Jean Marc when he was at cruiserweight. I remember I saw him fight live against O'Neil Bell, and I saw his fights at heavyweight.”
