A few days ago on BoxingScene.com, undefeated junior middleweight contender Vanes Martirosyan challenged former three division champion Shane Mosley to a fight. Vanes issued the challenge after reading a BoxingScene interview with Oscar De La Hoya, where the Golden Boy Promotions President stated that Mosley was ready to face anyone at any time. The challenge didn't end there. As noted below, a exchange broke out when Vanes challenged Mosley directly on his personal Twitter account.

Vanes Martirosyan: I want fight Shane Mosley. Shane don't be a bitch and fight me. Why don't you fight me next?

Shane Mosley: Who are you? And will the people pay to see it?

Vanes Martirosyan: I'm your nightmare, your time is over.

Shane Mosley: Stop talking, it's not gonna happen! Go fight somebody like you, up and coming. Maybe in 3 or 4 years you can fight my son.

Vanes Martirosyan: First, your son sucks. I seen him get dropped in the golden gloves. My brother will kick your son's ass and I'll knock you out.

Shane Mosley: How about I come down to Freddie's gym [Wild Card] and give you what you want for free?

Vanes Martirosyan: Don't gas out while you're texting just like [you do] in your fights. I know it won't happen [because] you know I'll knock you out. Why don't you come to Freddie's gym and lets do [it]. I'm so sure I'll knock you out that I'll even fight for free.

Shane Mosley: I don't know you.

Vanes Martirosyan: Yes you do. Anytime. Anyone. Bring them all on, but stop throwing other peoples names around. If you're a man, fight me and prove it. Have a nice day.

Mosley would later write - [James] Kirkland is a perfect fight for Vanes or [Alfredo] Angulo. Not [Miguel] Cotto or [Paul] Williams. [Vanes is] not in the same league. Earn it first!
