At the Castle Leisure Centre in Bury, Lancashire, hometown favorite Scott Quigg (20-0, 14KOs) continued his unbeaten run with a third round stoppage of Argentinian Santiago Allione (16-7-1, 6) to win the vacant WBA international super bantamweight title. Quigg rocked Allione with counters in the third on route to getting the TKO win. Over 1,000 fans packed the Castle Leisure Centre to support Quigg, who moves one step closer to getting a shot at the WBA title which is held by Poonsawat Kratingdaeng.
