BoxingScene.com was advised by manager Kurt Emhoff that an offer has been made for Giovanni Lorenzo (29-3, 21KOs) to face Kelly Pavlik (36-2, 32KOs) on the HBO pay-per-view undercard to Manny Pacquiao vs. Antonio Margarito on November 13 at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Pavlik was scheduled to face Daniel Edouard, but he was withdrawn for medical reasons.

Lorenzo's promoter, TKO Promotions, is discussing the fight with Top Rank. The question right now is whether or not Lorenzo can be physically ready by the November date. He fought less than three weeks ago in Germany, losing a twelve round decision to WBA champion Felix Sturm.

"We are interested in the fight. There is an offer on the table. I have to discuss everything with Giovanni and we'll talk with our promoter Chris Mittendorf [TKO Promotions], but we are definitley interested," Emhoff told BoxingScene.com.
