The team unbeaten middleweight Gennady Golovkin, through the voice of his matchmaker Pokowietz Mario, spoke to BoxingScene.com to settle the controversy over Golovkin not fighting Hassan N'Dam N'Jikam.

Indeed, as stated in the WBA rules, ninety days before the date, Mario Pokowietz said that he sent an offer to AMI Productions so the the two men could fight for the vacant WBA regular title on November 13 at Cowboys Stadium in Dallas, where Manny Pacquiao and Antonio Margarito will fight, or on November 20th in Panama City. Pokowietz assures that with the co-sponsorship of Mr. Oleg and Max Hermann, he proposed a net purse offer of $150,000. He adds that he was very surprised not to have had any responses from the French promoter. On the other hand, Pokowietz reported that he contacted AMI Productions once again, to have their fighter compete for Golovkin's WBA "interim" title but again he never received a response.

"We tried twice to arrange a fight between Gennady Golovkin and Hassan N'Dam. We can provide all of the evidence (contracts and mailings). If you want to, publish them on your website, but unfortunately, every time his team has ignore us and avoided going into negotiations," said the manager of Golovkin, Max Hermann, to BoxingScene.com.
