After being turned down for a boxing license last week in California, former welterweight champion Antonio Margarito is celebrating the approval of his application for a boxing license in the state of Texas. The local commission approved his request for a license. Their decision made his fight with Manny Pacquiao possible for November 13 in Arlington's Cowboys Stadium.

Now Margarito wants to prove to the world that he never loaded his gloves for any of his past victories. After he was caught with illegal hand wraps in January, Margarito's record has come under question. The most notable win being questioned is the 2008 TKO win over Miguel Cotto.

"It was unfair what they [the commission of California] did to me, I had to appear before them when their minds were already been made up, but now I'm happy because now I have the fight with Pacquiao in my hands and because I have the opportunity to show that I am a clean fighter. I will beat Pacquiao," Margarito told Sal Rodriguez.

"I thank Texas for giving me the license, for believing or me. I'm going to prove that I don't need anything that is forbidden to win my battles or past fights, including Miguel Cotto. But again I'll tell them, that when the date arrives I am going to show them that I have what it takes to win. It is a hard fight, but I am going to win him."
