By Jhonny Gonzalez

Colombian boxer Aristides Perez (17-2, 10KOs) has replaced Ira Terry as the opponent for former world champion Jhonny Gonzalez (44-7, 38KOs). The fight happens on Saturday in Campeche, Mexico for Gonzalez's WBC FECARBOX featherweight title. Perez promises to bring the belt back to Colombia.

Perez returns from a five round knockout loss to Eduardo Escobedo. The Escobedo fight also took place in Mexico. Perez wants to avenge his loss. The other loss on his record was to current WBC lightweight champion Humberto Soto. The fight will be broadcast from the Manuel Priego Gym by Televisa.

"This time I will not fail. The chance to beat a Mexican will not escape me again, you'll see," Perez said. "I come from providing a great fight, but unfortunately there was a clash of heads that created a cut and I could not continue fighting. That's why I say that this time will not fail."
