The battle of Los Angeles is set to move forward on September 18 at Staples Center in Los Angeles. Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaefer confirms that a deal has been reached. Former champions Shane Mosley (46-6, 39KOs) and Sergio Mora (22-1-1, 6KOs) will collide in a junior middleweight crossroads fight on a Golden Boy promoted pay-per-view event with a theme centered around the 200th anniversary of Mexico's Independence Day.

"It's going to be Sugar Shane Mosley versus Sergio Mora from The Staples Center. It's actually Sugar Shane Mosley's 10-year anniversary since being at The Staples' Center when he beat Oscar De La Hoya. So, now, he's coming back," said Schaefer.

Golden Boy President Oscar De La Hoya is planning a trip to Mexico to discuss the undercard appearance of unbeaten welterweight/junior middleweight prospect Saul Alvarez. Junior welterweight Victor Ortiz has also been mentioned as a possible candidate to land an undercard slot on the show.
