Fresh from his four round KO win over Guadalupe "Bronco" Rosales this past weekend in Los Mochis, Sinaloa, Juan Carlos Salgado (22-1, 16KOs) wants to fight the super featherweight champion of the World Boxing Council, Vitali Tajbert of Germany. If that fight doesn't happen, he would like to go for the silver title of the WBC, which Edward Escobedo won, but also plans to vacate it in order to drop back down to featherweight.

"My next fight will be in September. It's a fact that we're looking at the possibility of being the next challenger for Tajbert and hopefully we reach an agreement to become his next opponent. There is also the possibility of fighting for the silver belt, as Escobedo will drop down," Salgado told Box Noticias.
