Following Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.'s twelve round decision win over John Duddy at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas, Top Rank CEO Bob Arum discussed the future options for Chavez. One major fight that Arum would like to make would see Chavez move back down to 154 to fight the new WBA junior middleweight champion Miguel Cotto.

Arum has always been a fan of the Puerto Rico vs. Mexico theme because it brings big business on pay-per-view and creates a lot of money at the gate. Arum thinks Chavez became a star in the fight and improved a lot. "The old Chavez would have been demolished by Duddy" was Arum's thoughts on Chavez's improvements.

"Alex [Ariza] and Freddie [Roach] tell me there is no problem going down to 154. Maybe he fights Miguel Cotto for the junior middleweight championship," Arum said.
