According to several reports in the Eastern European press, WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko may have earned over $25 million for last month's knockout of brave Pole Albert Sosnowski.

A source told the papers that Klitschko stood to gain a lot of money between the tickets sold for the 46,000 that came to the Veltins Arena in Gelsenkirchen, Germany, and the television rights that were sold to Russia, Germany and Ukraine, and the pay-per-view earnings. Ticket prices ranged from 100 to 1500 euros. Klitschko promoted the event through his own company K2.

It's difficult to say how much of the $25 million went to Klitschko directly. The source speculates that Klitschko earned the bulk of the $25 million. Soon the champion from Ukraine will adapt the name of Floyd Mayweather Jr. and begin to call himself "Money" Klitschko.
