Featherweight Bernabe Concepcion knows the odds are stacked against him on July 10 when he travels to Puerto Rico to fight unbeaten Juan Manuel Lopez for the WBO title. Concepcion vs. Lopez headlines a Showtime televised doubleheader. The 22-year-old boxer has no problem with fighting outside of the Philippines.

"I think this fight going my speed to the test and I'll to use my legs to win. We will be fighting in his country and I feel good because it is similar to the Philippines. I'm also used to fight in places as the visitor. And I know that in order to beat Lopez, I'm going to have to knock him out. Juan Manuel Lopez is a big puncher but I will defeat him," Concepcion told Vocero.

Concepcion will be trained by Freddie Roach, and the same team who work with superstar countryman Manny Pacquiao will be in his corner.

"Roach is my trainer and I'm going to work with the same team that Pacquiao uses, including Buboy Fernandez. I'll be in my best shape because I want to win that title and as I said before, I have no problems in fighting outside of the Philippines. I fought twice in Mexico, seven times in different cities within the United States, so that detail does not worry me. It's only going to be me and Juan in the ring," Concepcion said.
