WBO/WBA lightweight champion Juan Manuel Marquez, to this day, thinks Manny Pacquiao is running away from a trilogy meeting. They fought to a controversial draw in 2004 and Pacquiao won a controversial split-decision in the 2008 rematch. Marquez is preparing for his rematch with Juan Diaz on July 31.

If Marquez beats Diaz, he wants to fight....you guessed it....Manny Pacquiao. Marquez told Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaefer that he wants a trilogy fight with Pacquiao.

"I told Richard, I want to fight Pacquiao again but Pacquiao he doesn't want it. He doesn't want to fight me again," Marquez told BoxingScene.com's Ryan Burton.

Pacquiao is the WBO welterweight champion. He is not going to move down in weight. Marquez is at lightweight. He would fight Pacquiao at 140 or some kind of catch-weight but that won't happen. Pacquiao will not budge the weight to favor Marquez. If Marquez wants it, he will have to fight at 147.

"Maybe we could fight at 140 or maybe 141, 142. I know Pacquiao. I know how to fight Pacquiao. I know his style. I know how Pacquiao's style is and I'm always one step ahead of him [when we fight]. I think 70% [the fight won't happen]. Pacquiao is scared of me because he knows who won the fight. Why doesn't he want to fight me?," Marquez told BoxingScene.
