At the Convention Center in McAllen, Texas, lightweight prospect Brandon Rios (24-0-1, 16 KOs) stopped Jorge Teron (23-2-1, 15 KOs) in three rounds. Rios started the damage with his power shots in the very first round. He had Teron hurt and continued to land big punches in the second. The damage continued in the third, with Rios unloading big punches from both hands. Teron was getting battered in the round until the ref stopped the beating.

Super bantamweight prospect Roberto Marroquin (12-0, 9 KOs) demolished Robert Guillen (5-5-3) in the first round. It didn't take long for Marroquin to land a big left that caught Guillen flush and sent him down. Marroquin continued to land big punches to the head and a hard hook to the body sent Guillen down for the second time in the fight, at which point the ref stopped the action.
