Danny Green's domestic rival Anthony Mundine has promised to easily beat Danny Green if they meet again. Mundine won a decision over Green in 2006. Their weights are far apart now but Mundine says that won't be an issue. Mundine wants to make history by moving down in the weight classes and winning titles along the way. Mundine, a former WBA super middleweight champion, moved down to middleweight and won the IBO title. He moves down to 154 on January 11 to face Rob Medley for the vacant IBO light middleweight title.

"In fact, I want to change my name now. From this day forth I don't want to be known as Anthony 'The Man' Mundine, I want to be known as Anthony 'The Pioneer' Mundine because I want to be the first. I'm in to sh*t that ain't been done, I'm into sh*t that has never been done before so I'm The Pioneer from this day forth," Mundine said to The Herald.

Mundine said he would move back to middleweight and Green can come in at heavyweight. He is not worried about the weight. He says it won't help Green.

"I'm fighting at junior middleweight now and my next bout is scheduled at junior middleweight - that's 69.9 kilograms. [But] I'll tell you what, we will make it even. I'll fight at middleweight and he can fight at heavyweight. That might help to even it up,'' Mundine said.

"He knows I've got got his number, he knows I've got his measure, he knows what happened that May night in 2006. People are blessed with their ears, people are blessed with their eyes, people are blessed with their intelligence as far as understanding and at the end of that fight, they had to come up with one conclusion - arse-whipping. He ain't even a great notch on my record. I tattooed him. But throw some numbers at me and I'll gladly whip that arse again."

Green has other ideas. After stopping Roy Jones Jr. in one round on Wednesday, Green doesn't see any way that Mundine has the ability to dictate the terms of their fight.

Green's manager, Justin Manolikos, said to the paper: "Danny is a world champion and has just beaten one of the greatest of all time. If we do it, it will be on our terms."
