At the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, Miguel Vazquez (24-3, 12KOs) scored a major upset when he outboxed previously undefeated Breidis Prescott (21-1, 18KOs) over ten rounds of action to win a split decision. The scores were 95-94 for Vazquez, 97-92 for Prescott and 96-93 for Vazquez. Prescott has been living off last September's 54-second knockout of Amir Khan.

After scoring a flash knockdown in the first round, Prescott appeared to struggle with the very tricky style of Vazquez. Prescott was outboxed in several of the rounds and seemed to fall in a shell where he didn't throw enough punches.

By the tenth and final round, the left eye of Prescott was very swollen and he appeared to look faded. Vazquez would land these hard counter left hooks that shook Prescott's knees a number of times.
