Former champion Joe Calzaghe has been retired for a few months but the offers continue to pour in. Calzaghe says the desire to fight is no longer there but he would consider a return to the ring for the right amount of money. He would return for an offer of £10 million but also knows that nobody will put that kind of money on the table.

"The only temptation is the cash," Calzaghe told Zoo Magazine. "I’m owed a lot, so obviously I could still use some more. But to fight again, just for that, would be a big mistake. £10 million! I’d come back for that! But, realistically, that’s a joke. Nobody is going to offer me that in my weight division. Anyway, my hands are still sore and I can’t achieve anything else."

Fighters like Paul Williams, Chad Dawson and Carl Froch continue to call him out but Calzaghe is paying no attention. He knows that new stars will always continue to pop up and issue challenges in his direction. Calzaghe says that it's better to stop while you're ahead. He can't fight forvever.

"There will always be fighters coming through – but I can’t fight forever. Eventually I’d get my ass kicked."
