Heavyweight contender David Haye is still eating, sleeping and breathing the Klitschko brothers. Due to a back injury, he withdrew last Wednesday from his June 20th bout with IBF/WBO champion Wladimir Klitschko. He hopes to fight Wladimir or older brother Vitali Klitschko, the WBC champion, in the near future. He ordered manager Adam Booth to head out there to make the biggest fight possible.

“I'm here to become the heavyweight champion of the world. To do that I have to go after one of the two brothers. All I can physically do myself is to get my back better and to get back into full training. And Adam Booth will go out there and do what he needs to do to make sure my next fight is a super fight and he will do whatever he has to do get my a fight with Wladimir or Vitali. The Klitschkos want it to happen. I want it to happen. It will happen,” Haye said.

After the withdrawal, Haye actually apologized to Wladimir for not being able to go forward with their fight. He says the apology will not make any nicer to the Klitschko brothers. He still plans to sport the infamous t-shirt that has him holding the bloody decapitated heads of the Klitschkos.  In order to reach his goal of cementing his legacy, Haye says that he needs to beat both brothers.

“It caused some headlines but that was my sole intent, to go over there and rip his head off. That was all in my mind. You saw the way I was training aggressively. My whole mindset was going out there and attacking this fella. I'm not going to start doing pics of me bringing roses and holding hands. That's not going to happen. I had both of their heads on that picture. That is the plans to beat both of the Klitschko brothers. I'm going to go out there to beat both of the Klitschko brothers. I need to beat both of the brothers to cement my legacy,” Haye said.
