At the MEN Arena in Manchester, Roman "Rocky" Martinez (22-0, 13KOs) knocked out Nicky Cook (29-2, 16KOs) in the fourth round to capture the WBO super featherweight title.

Cook came out on the front foot, throwing a steady jab. Martinez quickly closed the gap and kept the fight at close range. They traded some hard body shots. They came out trading jabs and hooks to the body in the second. Cook appeared to be landing the stiffer shots. Martinez was able to get off with two hard rights. Cook was able to get Martinez in trouble with a hard left hook, and some hard shots to the body that were followed by some blows to the head. Martinez covered up well and lasted until the bell.

In the third, Cook began to come forward with more punches to the body. Martinez came back with his own body blows. The two were tentative to the bell. During the fourth, Cook was caught with a monster shot that sent him crumbling down. He barely made it up and was quickly sent down with a left hook that put him on his face. The ref stopped the action.
