New York—Boxing fans will get the opportunity to see four of the most exciting young faces in the fight game when Duva Boxing in association with Cavazos Boxing, Prizefight, and Baltimore Boxing Club presents a unique doubleheader of undefeated fighters  featuring highly touted welterweight prospect James "King" DeLaRosa (17-0, 12 KOs), Baltimore welterweight Tim Coleman (14-0, 3 KOs), Salisbury middleweight Fernando Guerrero (9-0, 9 KOs), and Pittsburgh middleweight Tyron "TT" Watson  (7-0, 3 KOs) on Friday night, October 3 at Wicomico Civic Center in Salisbury, Maryland.

SHOWTIME will televise the doubleheader on its popular series, ShoBox: The New Generation beginning LIVE at 11:00 PM/ET.

Harlingen, Texas native DeLaRosa will square off against Coleman in a 10 round welterweight contest. The winner of seventeen in a row, DeLaRosa scored a unanimous decision victory over the game Troy Wilson in his last bout on June 13 in Scranton, Pennsylvania.  Coleman comes into the bout riding a streak of fourteen wins in a row. In his most recent outing, Coleman won a 10 round decision over Martinus Clay on December 7, 2007.

Salisbury southpaw Guerrero faces Watson in the 8 round middleweight co-feature. A native of the Dominican Republic, Guerrero has proven to be a deadly knockout artist, knocking out every opponent that has ever stepped into the ring with him. Watson's last victory came on July 26 with a 4th round KO of Fernando Barajas. Watson is no stranger to the knockout as he has used it to dispose of 3 of his 7 lifetime opponents. Watson was last in action on July 20, 2007 when he KO'd Ken Johnson in Greensboro, North Carolina.

"We are really excited about James DeLaRosa fighting in the main event on ShoBox. ShoBox is the ideal show for an up and coming future star to shine on. We are confident that he will do so, but also know that this will be the toughest fight of his career when he faces Tim Coleman," said Duva Boxing president Dino Duva. "Add to that great main event, the semi-final featuring another future champion in local hero Fernando Guerrero, and this promises to be a boxing fan's kind of event."

"It's great to be working with Cavazos Boxing, Prizefight Boxing and Baltimore Club Boxing," added Duva. "On Friday, October 3 four up and coming, undefeated prospects with a combined record of 47-0 with 20 knockouts will go toe to toe with one another and we're expecting a sellout crowd in beautiful Salisbury, Maryland."

"Prize Fight is elated to be working with Duva Boxing in association with Baltimore Boxing Club for this Shobox event in Salisbury as it should be a tremendous night of boxing," stated Prize Fight's Russ Young. "This is going to be the biggest boxing event ever on the East Coast outside of Atlantic City.  The support for this event has been phenomenal from fight fans in Salisbury, Maryland, Delaware, Virginia, New Jersey, and the Washington, D.C. area.  All eyes will be on the Eastern Shore on the night of October 3rd."

BURNS: I WANT COOK OR MITCHELL NEXT

Scotsman Ricky Burns says he wants East End rivals Nicky Cook and Kevin Mitchell ringside on Friday night at York Hall- if they are brave enough to turn up.

Burns, 25, challenges tough Ghanaian Osumana Akaba for the vacant Commonwealth title at the home of boxing in front of the Sky television cameras.

And he has his sights firmly set on newly crowned WBO World Super-Featherweight king Cook and British champion Mitchell.

"I want Cook to be there so I can call him out after I've beaten Akaba," said Burns.

"He said he wants a mandatory defence of his belt, and I'm more than happy to fight any time, anywhere, and I'll tell him that in front of his own fans ringside on Friday night.

"Cook might have beaten one Scottish fighter in Alex Arthur to win the world title, but he won't be so lucky second time around."

Burns, who lost on points to Arthur in a European, Commonwealth and British title challenge when he was an inexperienced youngster, also wants Mitchell to make the journey to York Hall.

"I want to be made mandatory challenger to Mitchell's British title, but I'm not sure he fancies fighting me," said Burns.

"I've been waiting for that fight for ages, but I think Mitchell's looking for a couple of soft touches before facing a real threat to his title like me.

"I want him ringside on Saturday, but I'm also worried that I might scare him off because I've improved so much in the last 12 months.

"If he was worried about fighting me before Friday, he'll be even more concerned after he sees my performance against Akaba."

Unbeaten in his last eight fights, Burns has a 23-2 record, and says that he is a far more aggressive fighter under new trainer Billy Nelson.

"People are going to see me coming forward a lot more and boxing off the front foot," said Burns. "My power has improved dramatically since I started working with Billy and I'll be aiming for a knockout on Friday night.

"I've fought at York Hall twice before and won by knockout both times, so I'll be looking to make it a hat-trick on Friday."

Holm vs. Sanders II

In a 10-round rematch of the two best active female boxers in the sport, Detroit icon Mary Jo Sanders (25-1, 8 KOs) will face New Mexico's Holly "Preacher's Daughter" Holm (22-1-2, 6 KOs), on Friday, October 17 at the Palace of Auburn Hills, Michigan.

In June of this year, Sanders, the six-time champion in four different weight divisions, was dealt her first career loss in five years as a professional. Fighting in her backyard of the Isleta Casino & Resort in Albuquerque, Holm scored a unanimous decision over the previously unbeaten Sanders and won the IFBA Junior Middleweight world title.

This time, however, the Detroit native vows the outcome will be drastically different.

Sanders says she didn't to stick to her game plan in the first fight and is eager to avenge the loss and recapture the IFBA title. "I've been given a second chance with this rematch and intend to take advantage of it.

Sanders, the Ring Magazine Female Fighter of the Year, is the former WBC, IBA and WIBA Welterweight; WIBA Junior Middleweight and current IBA Middleweight World Champion. The formidable Holm has held the IBA Light Welterweight; WIBA, WBC, IFBA, WBA, and IBA Welterweight; and IBA Light Middleweight Championships.
