On Friday night is the ring return of Cuban heavyweight puncher Luis Ortiz as part of the Fox Sports 1 televised card in Hialeah in Miami, Florida.

Ortiz will face Daniel Martz (16-5-1, 13 KO) ten round stay busy fight - after being away from a layoff of one year.

Ortiz (27-0, 23 KOs) was scheduled to return to the ring last month, against WBC heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder. Ortiz was pulled from the fight after testing positive for a banned substance.

A few days ago, Ortiz was officially cleared by the WBC - who determined that Ortiz's failed test was due to a prescribed medication the boxer was legally was using to treat his high blood pressure.

"I have to have a lot of strength to resist everything that has surrounded me, but nothing has brought me out of my goal of becoming a world champion. Everything that happened did not kill me, so all it did was make me stronger," Ortiz told George Ebro.

"I am clean, totally clean, I do recognize that there was a failure to report [that I was taking the medication], but I have never taken anything illegal, the only thing I drink is water and good advice and in my heart I know that I have never done anything bad to take advantage of a opponent.''

"I congratulate [Martz] for having the courage to accept my challenge, because you have to remember that this fight was added to the undercard just a couple of days ago, so his merit is double, but otherwise he's just another name victory in my career."

There is talking that Wilder may be ringside for Friday's fight.

"Yes, that's what they say, I hope it's true so he can see how King Kong is. I do not know if it will be good or bad [for him], because I'm afraid my performance will scare him even more and he will keep evading the fight against me," Ortiz said.

And Ortiz has less respect for IBF, WBA, IBF heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua. He believes the British superstar has no desire to fight any opponents who present a real danger.

"Joshua is a girl who is well cared for - worse than Wilder. He says he is the best... well, to prove it he has to fight with me, but in the end everyone looks for excuses, they look for ways not to face me. I have the same desire to be a world champion, whether it's Joshua, Wilder or whatever. I just ask that they give me the opportunity to fight against the best, because boxing has become very complicated these days," Ortiz said.
