New York Police have linked popular rapper Fabolous to crew of robbbers, who seem target high profile celebrities. The robbers are said to be members of Fabolous' Street Fam crew, and responsible for the robberies of of ex-New York Giants player Frank Walker, NBA player Sebastian Telfair and former two-division boxing champ Zab Judah, who was targeted twice.

According to police reports, the Street Fam Crew is made up of 20 members, all former drug dealers from Fabolous' neighborhood of Brooklyn. The NYPD believe Fabolous' friend Shamel McKinney was stabbed to death while trying to rob a man in a nightclub last month.

In 2006, three men tried to rob Judah as he stood next to his yellow Lamborghini on West 27th Street at 10th Avenue in New York. According to police, the trio rolled up in a minivan at about 5am and hopped out. One of them, 19-year-old Derrick Ayers, pulled a black handgun on Judah and told him to put his jewelry on the hood of his car. Judah ran instead. The muggers followed in their van, which ended up crashing into a tree a block away. All three scattered, but one was captured by a Homeland Security agent on his way to work, and another was grabbed by a nearby cab driver.

"A bunch of idiots that didn't have no control over what they were doing," Judah told The Post. "They messed with the wrong guy."

Fabolous, in a conversation with Allhiphop, denied that his crew had any involvement in the robberies.

"I would like my fans and supporters worldwide to know how disappointed I am in some of the media for the misrepresentation and abuse of my name, I do not want the young people who listen to my music and watch my videos to believe that I am engaged in any illegal activities that would discredit my character."
