Last September, five division world champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. (49-0, 26KOs) retired from the sport of boxing after winning a lopsided twelve round unanimous decision over Andre Berto at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Mayweather has repeatedly denied rumors of a potential ring return to secure his 50th pro win.

Since his retirement, Mayweather has been very busy with his promotional company and other related business ventures.

If Mayweather does announce a return to the ring, his father - Floyd Mayweather Sr. - says there is no possibility that he'll allow his son fight a big middleweight. While saying that, he's still very confident in his son's ability to beat those fighters.

The comment was an obvious reference to the idea of fighting current /IBO/WBA/IBF middleweight champion Gennady 'GGG' Golovkin - who is willing to squeeze down to 154-pounds to fight Mayweather - who at the time of his retirement held the WBC/WBA world titles at junior middleweight.

A rematch with Manny Pacquiao is one possibility - should the Filipino star win on Saturday night against Timothy Bradley.

"It’s all on my son and what he chooses to do. If he chooses to go back and spank Pacquiao again, that’s what we’re going to do, simple. If he wants to do it again, oh well. I tell you one thing, we sure ain’t fighting these light heavyweights and big middleweights, Floyd’s not trying to fight those types of guys. If Floyd did fight them, he’d whoop all of them for sure," Mayweather Sr. told On The Ropes Boxing Radio.
